OUR THERAPY HUB is a collective of Occupational, Speech and Physiotherapists with many years experience working together in an Interdisciplinary and Family Centred team approach. The team at OUR THERAPY HUB has specialist skills working in Early Intervention with children who present with global developmental delay.

An inter-disciplinary and family centred team approach ensures a coordinated and comprehensive service to all children and families.  Therapists have significant experience working with children who present with global developmental delay, including children with specific diagnoses (Down syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Rett syndrome, ASD, Cri du Chat and Smith Magenis sydrome) and children with specific motor, sensory and/or communication difficulties.

LESLEY MEEHAN - Speech Pathologist

Lesley has over 25 years experience working with children with global developmental delay and / or complex communication needs.  During this time she has developed significant knowledge and skills in providing a range of evidence based interventions including:   AAC (Key Word Sign, PECS, PODD, Technology – including eye gaze technology); Hanen (ITTT and MTW); PROMPT; SOS Approach to Feeding: DIR Floortime.

Lesley is a current Key Word Sign Australia Presenter and a Hanen Certified SLP.  She is a member of a number of professional associations including:  Speech Pathology Australia (Certified Practising Member);  The Hanen Centre; AGOSCI ; and Key Word Sign NSW. 

Lesley is passionate about walking the journey with families, giving all children a “voice” (way to communicate) and maximizing their developmental potential.

LINDY SAUNDERS - Physiotherapist

Lindy commenced her Physiotherapy career, over 25 years ago, working in Acute and Outpatient care in Q Health Hospitals. She moved her career into musculoskeletal part time Private Practice which fitted in with her family life and she continues this aspect of her Physiotherapy Clinical Practice concurrently.

In 2005, Lindy joined the Multi-Disciplinary Paediatric Team at Ipswich Disability Services increasing her workload as her family grew. She has enjoyed every moment of her “Kids” Clinical Practice and Therapy is and has been “FUN”, because of her long association with Lesley and Sonya, other Colleagues and Families.

Lindy is a Gold Member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association and is committed to ongoing Professional Development and Evidenced Based Practice.

With the introduction of the NDIA, Lindy wishes to continue this valuable Interdisciplinary Therapy, mentoring young Therapists and providing a safe and homely environment, grateful for the opportunity to be part of your child’s and family’s Achievements.

SONYA BERRY - Occupational Therapist

Sonya has 11 years experience working with Disability Services as well as 15 years experience working in Private Practice and 6 years experience working for Queensland Health in a Child Development team.   In these settings she has gained significant experience providing evidence based intervention to children with global developmental delay as well as children experiencing specific difficulties with handwriting, sensory processing, fine motor, self care or visual perception. 

Sonya has provided both individual and group support in variety of settings including: school; home; and therapy clinics.  She has training in:  Stepping Stones Triple P; Circle of Security; and Floortime.  

Sonya is passionate about developing respect and rapport with families and their children, and feels that it is a privilege to be part of their journey.
